Riot Act, Inc. announces the opening of submissions to our New Play Festival playwriting competition. Three one-act plays will be selected for production during our Annual Series of Shorts in September 2026.
Each of the three playwrights whose plays are selected for production will receive an honorarium. The first-place winner will receive $200 and the Marius P. Hanford IV Award. Marius was a longtime stage combat choreographer influential in several theater communities, including Jackson and New York. The second place will receive $100 and third place will be awarded $50.
The contest opens on May 1, 2026 with final entries due by June 20, 2026 and winners will be notified by July 31, 2026.

SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab - Day 1 of 2.Join Wyoming SBDC Network, IMPACT 307, and the Montana Technology Innovation Partnership for a focused, two-part SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab designed to help you develop a competitive Phase I submission. The content will be relevant to all 11 SBIR and 6 STTR agencies, with particular emphasis on DoD, NIH, NSF, DOE, and NASA.
Day 1: On May 28, we’ll cover program fundamentals and outline a structured process for preparing your technical proposal.
Day 2: On June 11, we’ll complete that process and explore key concepts for building a sound cost proposal—ensuring your project budget is accurate and sustainable.

Students participate in a series of four clinics Thursday nights in May and June to learn a variety of skills including bike checks, trail etiquette, braking, cornering, dismount, shifting, and more! Students ranging from 2nd-8th grade meet at Kiowa Park for pre-ride snacks and skills practice before heading out to the Schoolyard/Pilot Hill trails. The primary focus of this program is to get students out on bikes and learning some skills along the way.
Clinic is $80/student with discounts for multi-student families. Scholarships are available for equipment and event fees.

Welcome to the first Beauties and Boldness ride! Just for the ladies! We are riding together in response to attempts on social media to intimidate female riders. In response, we have come up with the idea for an all female ride around Cheyenne! No matter of what kind of motorcycle you ride, all ladies are welcome! Sorry fellas, this is for the girls!Our route will take us from Borderline Powersports south of Cheyenne along Terry Bison Road to South Greeley, up to College and following that all the way to where it meets Yellowstone. Yellowstone to Central and from there to JDS Motorcycle Repair to get some lunch!A few Safety Protocols-No Revving-No Wheelies-No Burnouts-No Drama
Lisa Lofgren's installation, "Insisting Wind, Over the Pass, Flowing Bedrock" will be on display at Margo's Pottery and Fine Crafts through August 8th. The open house will feature music by David and Caitlin Romtvedt, and give people a chance to meet the artist.
