The Metropolitan Opera

Launched in 1931, the Met's Saturday matinee broadcasts are the longest-running continuous classical radio series in American broadcast history.

Wyoming Public Media will bring another season from The Metropolitan Opera, airing every Saturday on Classical Wyoming.

Met Opera 2021

The 2021-2022 season will mark the 91st year of live Saturday broadcasts and will again be heard over the Toll Brothers–Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network.

The Metropolitan Opera made the extremely difficult decision to cancel the entirety of the 2020–21 season, based on the advice of health officials who advise the Met and Lincoln Center.

In the meantime, they are pleased to be able to announce the Met's 2021–22 season, which will open September 27, 2021, with the Met premiere of Terence Blanchard's Fire Shut up in my Bones—the first opera by a Black composer to be performed at the Met.

Wyoming Public Media looks forward to bringing another season from The Metropolitan Opera, airing every Saturday on Classical Wyoming.
