Cheyenne Audubon presents bird photographer Rob Palmer for a free talk Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cottonwood Room at the Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave.Palmer, from Colorado, will give us a peek in his life as a bird photographer, beginning at age 12 with a Polaroid, through his study of birds, especially raptors, and his jump into fulltime bird photography which has resulted in photos in Audubon Magazine, Nature's Best, National Wildlife, and BBC Wildlife and other publications. 17th Annual "Nun Too Fast" All Saints' Day 5k Run/Walk to benefit Holy Spirit Catholic Youth, November 1, 2025. You can also play corn hole, check out equine hair and sheep wool under a microscope, meet Dust the Donkey, color animals, learn about goats, and see if “you know your poop.”
Funding helps provide sanctuary, feed, and shelter for the 19 animals currently residing at Home On The Range.
Wrestling fans, mark your calendars! Western Wyoming Community College (Western) will be hosting the first wrestling dual, the Wild West Showdown, against the University of Wyoming (UW) Cowboys on Saturday, November 1.
There are only 1,100 tickets for this event with box office sales opening October 15. Tickets are non-refundable and will be available in three areas: VIP mat side, lower-section, and upper general admission. VIP tickets, which are limited, will be $50 and include a meet and greet with wrestlers, along with a complementary charcuterie board and beverages. Lower-section tickets are $20 and upper general admission tickets will be $15. Wheelchair seating is available for lower-section tickets, but tickets are limited.
