Cheyenne Audubon invites the public on a free field trip Nov. 15 to the Laramie Plains Lakes to see migrating waterfowl. People with all levels of birdwatching experience are welcome. Participants will leave the Lions Park parking lot between the Children’s Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and the picnic shelter at 8 a.m. to drive to Laramie, then southwest to the lakes, returning about 4 p.m., or earlier if you have your own vehicle. There will be a little hiking at some lakes. Bring lunch or snacks and water and dress for variable weather. Bring binoculars if you have them. Please register with Grant Frost, 307-343-2024, so that he can contact you if plans change. Let him know if you need a ride or can provide a ride.
