The Gingerbread 5th Grade Competition is back, and sweeter than ever! Join Teton Habitat at The Wort Hotel on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a festive community tradition celebrating creativity, collaboration, and holiday cheer.
Fifth-grade students from Jackson Elementary School team up to design and build “affordable” gingerbread homes for a family of three using only the materials provided. After two weeks of planning, designing, and building, their frosting-filled masterpieces will be on display for the community to enjoy!
Guests of all ages are invited to stop by the Goldpiece Room at the Wort Hotel, tour the gingerbread village, and purchase raffle tickets to vote for their favorite creation. The team with the most votes will receive the People’s Choice Award, while the most functional design will earn the Builders Choice Award. Winning teams receive a commemorative classroom plaque, and a complimentary breakfast or lunch entrée at The Wort (thanks to The Wort Hotel!).
