Pitch Day features select Wyoming entrepreneurs showcasing their innovative and creative businesses to a panel of esteemed judges and a live audience. Cash prizes will be awarded in three categories. Pitch Day is an intensive program that provides multiple coaching sessions to finalists. The event celebrates both their months of work and the entrepreneurial community Silicon Couloir has built.

On a hot August day in 1891, Frank Melbourne toiled away inside a darkened stable in Cheyenne, Wyoming. His task? To make it rain. Wyoming and the Great Plains were suffering from a drought in the 1890s, arguably worse than the infamous dust bowl of the 1930s. To ease the suffering, people turned to anyone who promised the knowledge to make the skies open; including a self-proclaimed “Rain Wizard.” In the case of the August 1891 experiment, it worked! The Cheyenne Daily Leader reported “Cheyenne was enveloped in a capacious, energetic and altogether reliable rain storm [sic].” Melbourne next traveled to Idaho, Utah, and Kansas. Could he repeat his wizardry and make it rain, or was he really just a “humbug?”

Shrek The Musical - Pay What You Can Night will be held at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse (2706 E. Pershing Blvd.) on Thursday, September 24th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are general admission. No presale. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears. "Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.

Long-standing friendships and diverse artistic endeavors brought Hannah, Kate, and Madi together to form May Be Fern. Drawing from their eclectic musical backgrounds, the trio crafts a distinctive sound that fuses funk, rock, new-wave synth, and the occasional ballad. When these three artists collaborate on a singular piece of work, it always contains an equal part of each member, resulting in a consistently unique outcome that spans a large range of musical styles. Their debut album, Okay Grandma, Your Turn, celebrated for its innovative approach and infectious energy, garnered critical acclaim, establishing them as a fresh voice in the music scene in 2023. Their sophomore album, Three Of Swords, was released in September of 2025 and landed them a cover story in Westword, Denver’s biggest entertainment publication. With their dynamic rhythms, engaging melodies, and palpable chemistry, May Be Fern is poised to captivate audiences of all ages with their love of the craft and high-energy live performances. After playing over 50 shows in 2025, May Be Fern is ready to hit the ground running into an even bigger 2026 and far beyond.

A 3-day quilt show, starting on Friday, September 25, ending at 3 p.m on Sunday, 27. Free admission. Featuring over 100 quilts, hand-made items and quilts for sale, four quilt shop vendors, demonstrations and make and take classes, food on site.

This program is geared towards ages 3-6, but all children are welcome.

Join us for a special edition of Fables, Feathers & Fur featuring Annie Chen, this year’s winner of the Bull-Bransom Award. She’ll read her winning book "Salmon Run," following the incredible journey of a Pacific coho salmon from a tiny egg in a Washington stream to the Pacific Ocean and back again. After storytime, young visitors will create a hands-on art project alongside Chen inspired by her book. Following the art project, please join us for a book sale and signing at 11 a.m. All materials are provided.

Chen is an artist, designer, researcher, and author-illustrator whose work explores the relationships between science, culture, and the living world. Drawing on her background in biology and design, she creates visual stories that make complex ecological ideas feel vivid, wondrous, and alive. "Salmon Run" is her debut picture book.

Where does the The Sudans name come from? Well, we have Suzie Schatz Hills (that’s one “Su”), Dan Burgess and Dan Hills (that’s two “Dans”) which makes for the Sudans! You will enjoy their feel good vibes with classic hits from the 1950’s-1970’s! All of this is set in a truly historic environment as the magnificent church venue was built in 1911 with great acoustics.
