Community Calendar

A 3-day quilt show, starting on Friday, September 25, ending at 3 p.m on Sunday, 27. Free admission. Featuring over 100 quilts, hand-made items and quilts for sale, four quilt shop vendors, demonstrations and make and take classes, food on site.

This program is geared towards ages 3-6, but all children are welcome.

Join us for a special edition of Fables, Feathers & Fur featuring Annie Chen, this year’s winner of the Bull-Bransom Award. She’ll read her winning book "Salmon Run," following the incredible journey of a Pacific coho salmon from a tiny egg in a Washington stream to the Pacific Ocean and back again. After storytime, young visitors will create a hands-on art project alongside Chen inspired by her book. Following the art project, please join us for a book sale and signing at 11 a.m. All materials are provided.

Chen is an artist, designer, researcher, and author-illustrator whose work explores the relationships between science, culture, and the living world. Drawing on her background in biology and design, she creates visual stories that make complex ecological ideas feel vivid, wondrous, and alive. "Salmon Run" is her debut picture book.

Cheyenne Little Theatre Players proudly presents Shrek The Musical.

Shrek The Musical will be running at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse (2706 E. Pershing Blvd.) from Friday, September 18th through Sunday, October 4th. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears. "Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.

Celebrate Public Lands Day by improving wildlife habitat with the Jackson Hole Wildlife Federation, Wyoming Outdoor Council, and Wyoming Game and Fish. Volunteers will remove old fencing from a stretch of BLM land situated in the Sublette Pronghorn Migration Corridor south of Pinedale.

Celebrate National Public Lands Day and Wyoming Public Lands Day with a day of trail maintenance and other projects! Coffee and donuts will be provided at the morning kickoff at the Washington Park Otto Dahl Shelter, where volunteers will have the opportunity to hear about each project before departing to that project's location.

There will be multiple projects with varying levels of experience and labor. Transportation will be provided for UW students, and lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

This event is a collaboration between Common Outdoor Ground, the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, Wyoming Conservation Corps, Wyoming State Parks, Southeast Wyoming Climbers Coalition, Laramie BikeNet, the Wyo Trail FAIRIES, the Southeast Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Collaborative, and the University of Wyoming Outdoor Program and SLCE Office.

The Jackson Indigenous Art Market returns to the lawn of St. John’s Episcopal Church for its fourth year on Saturday, September 26, and Sunday, September 27, 2026. The two-day gathering celebrates Indigenous art, culture, music, relationships and community

The market will welcome dozens of Indigenous artists from Wyoming and neighboring states. The gathering will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists and purchase original paintings, traditional beadwork and basketry, jewelry, apparel, accessories, home décor and other handcrafted works.

“Each year, this market becomes so much more than a place to experience and purchase beautiful art. It becomes a place to listen, learn, share stories and build relationships,” said the Rev. Mary Erickson, associate rector at St. John’s Episcopal Church. “We are deeply grateful to welcome these artists back to St. John’s for a fourth year. We hope our neighbors and visitors will come with curiosity, spend time with the artists and support their work.”

The Jackson Indigenous Art Market creates an opportunity for Indigenous artists to share their work directly with the community while inviting residents and visitors to celebrate the vibrant, living arts and cultures of Native peoples throughout the region.

The Laramie Urban Sketchers group meets every Saturday at a new location to draw our surroundings. Previous meet-ups have been Downtown Laramie, Laramie Parks, the Wyoming Women's History Museum, local cafes, etc.
We draw the architechture, people, objects, and events around us for two hours, then meet back up to admire everyone's work and talk about our sketching that day.
It's a welcoming group with members of all ages and skill levels. Our goal is to document Laramie with our sketchbooks, and build a friendly community of people who like to make art together!
