The “Conversations on Democracy” lecture series brings a variety of discussions on relevant global, national and statewide issues to the UW campus and communities across the state. Faculty from UW’s School of Politics, Public Affairs and International Studies and expert guests will explore contemporary challenges facing the United States and the globe, as well as prospects for building a stable and positive future.

Ever wondered what it's like to be a therapy animal team? Curious about becoming one? Or just want to meet some of the amazing people and animals who make up Teton County Pet Partners?

Join us for an opportunity to meet our therapy animal teams, board members, evaluators, and prospective teams. Come ask questions, make connections, eat some snacks, grab some schwag, and get to know our Pet Partners community!

Thinking of bringing your dog? Well behaved dogs who are comfortable around a large group of other dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash! Warning to our furry friends: the building floors are made of sealed concrete and can be scary to some (looking for rug sponsorships).

In this practical and easy-to-understand workshop, small business owners and entrepreneurs will learn the essential financial management tools used by successful businesses. From budgeting and bookkeeping to financial statements and business financing, this session breaks down complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Participants will also explore how financial statements such as profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements guide decision-making and reveal a business’s financial health. The session will also cover funding options, including loans, lines of credit, and strategies lenders evaluate when considering financing.

The Cheyenne Farmers Market is a family-friendly community event where shoppers can find fresh fruits and vegetables, locally raised meats, baked goods, specialty foods, handmade products, and unique gifts from local vendors. Whether you're looking for fresh ingredients, a delicious meal, or one-of-a-kind items, the market offers something for everyone while supporting local businesses and Community Action of Laramie County programs.

Teton Repair Café is modeled after the international Repair Café movement, which works to keep treasured items out of the landfill while building skills and community along the way. Give your broken treasure a second chance at International Repair Day!

The Laramie Urban Sketchers group meets every Saturday at a new location to draw our surroundings. Previous meet-ups have been Downtown Laramie, Laramie Parks, the Wyoming Women's History Museum, local cafes, etc.
We draw the architechture, people, objects, and events around us for two hours, then meet back up to admire everyone's work and talk about our sketching that day.
It's a welcoming group with members of all ages and skill levels. Our goal is to document Laramie with our sketchbooks, and build a friendly community of people who like to make art together!

Step 1: Create a Pet Partners account at www.petpartners.org and begin your team registration.
Step 2: Complete the Therapy Animal Handler Course in-person (free) or online ($80). Completion and passing of the course is required before attending a team evaluation.
Step 3: Join a team evaluation! Our next Team Evaluation is October 19th, where you and your pet will demonstrate that you're a good fit for therapy animal work. Each team is scheduled for a 20–30 minute slot.

Our therapy animal teams provide comfort, connection, and smiles in hospitals, schools, libraries, assisted living communities, and other organizations throughout Teton County.
