Slow Food in the Tetons annual Farm to Fork Festival is a community celebration of local and regional food, hands-on learning, and the people who make our food system thrive.

Highlights include:

Friday, October 2: Wild Fish Slow Food Film Fest with Trout Unlimited at the Center Theater — films at the confluence of conservation, community & food. Doors open at 5:30 PM

Saturday, October 3:
End-of-season Harvest Market
Rise & Brine pickling + fermentation event
Hands-on cooking, preservation, food systems, and sustainability workshops
Local farmers, producers, educators, and organizations
Activities and learning opportunities for all ages
Come shop, learn a new skill, meet the people behind your food, and celebrate the season with your community.

Workshop tickets go live at noon on September 18. Day-of sign-ups are welcome, but some workshops do sell out, so we recommend planning ahead and checking the website for availability.

The Laramie Urban Sketchers group meets every Saturday at a new location to draw our surroundings. Previous meet-ups have been Downtown Laramie, Laramie Parks, the Wyoming Women's History Museum, local cafes, etc.
We draw the architechture, people, objects, and events around us for two hours, then meet back up to admire everyone's work and talk about our sketching that day.
It's a welcoming group with members of all ages and skill levels. Our goal is to document Laramie with our sketchbooks, and build a friendly community of people who like to make art together!

Shrek The Musical will be running at the Mary Godfrey Playhouse (2706 E. Pershing Blvd.) from Friday, September 18th through Sunday, October 4th. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire. Shrek brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears. "Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.

Step 1: Create a Pet Partners account at www.petpartners.org and begin your team registration.
Step 2: Complete the Therapy Animal Handler Course in-person (free) or online ($80). Completion and passing of the course is required before attending a team evaluation.
Step 3: Join a team evaluation! Our next Team Evaluation is October 6th, where you and your pet will demonstrate that you're a good fit for therapy animal work. Each team is scheduled for a 20–30 minute slot.

Our therapy animal teams provide comfort, connection, and smiles in hospitals, schools, libraries, assisted living communities, and other organizations throughout Teton County.
