Cheyenne Audubon invites the public on a free field trip Nov. 15 to the Laramie Plains Lakes to see migrating waterfowl. People with all levels of birdwatching experience are welcome. Participants will leave the Lions Park parking lot between the Children’s Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and the picnic shelter at 8 a.m. to drive to Laramie, then southwest to the lakes, returning about 4 p.m., or earlier if you have your own vehicle. There will be a little hiking at some lakes. Bring lunch or snacks and water and dress for variable weather. Bring binoculars if you have them. Please register with Grant Frost, 307-343-2024, so that he can contact you if plans change. Let him know if you need a ride or can provide a ride. Relative Theatrics is proud to present STRAIGHT WHITE MEN by Young Jean Lee in association with the SAFE Men program. The play runs November 7th through 15th in the Gryphon Theatre at the Laramie Plains Civic CenterPlay Description:When Ed and his three adult sons come together to celebrate Christmas, they enjoy cheerful trash-talking, pranks, and takeout Chinese. Then they confront a problem that even being a happy family can’t solve: When identity matters, and privilege is problematic, what is the value of being a straight white man?
The opening weekend of performances is November 7th and November 8th 2025 at 7:30 pm. Performances continue November 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th at 7:30pm. All performances are located at the Laramie Plains Civic Center in the Gryphon Theatre. A preview pay-what-you-can performance will take place at 7:30pm on November 6th, 2025. Additionally there will be a post show talk back immediately following the show on November 13th funded by the Wyoming Humanities Crossroad Grant.

Acting Level 3 is designed for those with some prior experience who are ready to go further. This five-session workshop explores performance through the lens of acting technique and improvisation, helping you better understand your physical and verbal presence while learning how imagination, language, and movement come together on stage.
Instructor BJ Hanford brings a wealth of experience to the class, including 22 years as a professional actor, singer, and dancer in New York City, followed by a decade of directing, choreographing, and teaching at Dancers’ Workshop. After a 15-year detour in the culinary world, BJ is back on stage and passionately committed to supporting Riot Act’s community-based arts education.

Join Sheridan Community Land Trust for a special evening edition of Explore History as we observe National Native American History Month with a screening of “Powwow Highway” — a groundbreaking film recognized in the National Film Registry for its authentic portrayal of Native American life and its powerful cultural impact.
The film is celebrated for elevating Indigenous storytelling, tackling issues like poverty and environmental degradation, and highlighting spirituality, activism, and art. It also helped launch the careers of several Native actors.
Adding to its local connection, Powwow Highway was partially filmed right here in Sheridan — and some community members were even part of the crew and cast.
