Riot Act, Inc. announces the opening of submissions to our New Play Festival playwriting competition. Three one-act plays will be selected for production during our Annual Series of Shorts in September 2026.

Each of the three playwrights whose plays are selected for production will receive an honorarium. The first-place winner will receive $200 and the Marius P. Hanford IV Award. Marius was a longtime stage combat choreographer influential in several theater communities, including Jackson and New York. The second place will receive $100 and third place will be awarded $50.

The contest opens on May 1, 2026 with final entries due by June 20, 2026 and winners will be notified by July 31, 2026.

This four-day celebration of art, culture, music, food, and family-friendly fun brings thousands of visitors to downtown Casper each year and remains a highlight of the summer season.

The Wyoming Outdoor Council's River Bash event is a celebration of Wyoming’s rivers, streams, and the healthy watersheds that sustain them. Join community members, conservationists, and outdoor enthusiasts for an evening of community and fun by the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River.

Expect live music, local beer, food trucks, a rubber ducky race, and a raffle with great prizes!

The Children’s Advocacy Project invites community members to get tickets to the annual CAP, Cabernet, & Calcutta event on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Best Western Downtown Casper, 123 W E St, Casper, WY 82601. Tickets can be purchased online or via phone at (307) 232-0159 and are $65 per person. The evening will start at 5:30 p.m.

The evening will be filled with a happy hour, dinner, and a Calcutta to bid on favorite shooting teams for the next day’s event. This year’s event also includes entertainment by comedian Nancy Norton.

Join us for the 20th annual Shoot Trap for CAP on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Rocky Mountain Gun Club. We offer a variety of team choices to fit every budget and shooter ability from novice to experienced!
Put together your five person shooting team and choose between Rec League - 25 pigeons at $200, Youth & Law Enforcement - 99 pigeons at $350, & Heavy Hitters League - 99 pigeons at $600. Heavy Hitter team registration also includes 5 tickets to Friday night’s CAP, Cabernet & Calcutta Comedy Night.
Heavy Hitter team check-in begins at 8 a.m. and Recreation Team Registration begins at noon. Lunch will be provided!
Heavy Hitter Teams will be eligible to win cash prizes. 1st Place: $1,000; 2nd Place: $750; 3rd Place: $500 Rec League Teams are shooting it out for the love of the game and bragging rights.

A wide variety of plants will be for sale at reasonable prices including: perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs, fruit vines, trees, shrubs and house plants. Also for sale are garden-related items, including our very popular tomato cages. Others in the community have and our encouraged to donate items to sell at our sale. The Lander Art District Street Fair is a one-day summer kick-off festival in historic downtown Lander. Join us for a unique and entertaining way to immerse yourself in the arts! While strolling through the Art District, you will come across artist demonstrations and musicians busking on the sidewalk, a face painter, chalk-the-walk, and hands-on activities. But that's not all! Cross Main Street to Centennial Park for a Maker's Market with 40+ artists, makers, and artisans selling their handmade wares.
