Miracle on 34th Street
"This is a tale that we want to believe in, that creates a world we seem to desperately desire, free of the blatant commercialism that surrounds us, where love and decency and generosity of spirit are their own rewards. What we want Christmas to be all about, really." So writes the Santa Cruz Sentinel of this most heartwarming holiday story.
By chance, Kris Kringle, an old man in a retirement home, gets a job working as Santa for Macy's. Kris unleashes waves of good will with Macy's customers and the commercial world of New York City by referring parents to other stores to find exactly the toy their child has asked for. Seen as deluded and dangerous by Macy's vocational counselor, who plots to have Kris shanghaied to Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital, Kris ends up in a court competency hearing.
Especially at stake is one little girl's belief in Santa. In a dramatic decision, the court confirms Kris as the true Santa, allowing Susan and countless other children to experience the joy of childhood fantasy.

National Wreaths Across America Day is December 13. The Jacques Laramie Chapter Daughters of American Revolution (DAR) joined with VFW Post 2221, WyoTech, other Laramie Businesses and organizations and countless individual donors to raise funds to purchase 700 wreaths to place on veteran graves at Laramie's Greenhill Cemetery. Members of the Laramie community are invited to join us for opening ceremonies begin at 11 am at the GAR monument and help lay wreaths. The placement of wreaths on gravesites acknowledges the empty space at so many family tables representing a veteran who has been lost and honors their service to this nation. For more information visit the Jacques Laramie DAR Facebook page or email waa.greenhill@gmail.com. You can learn more about Wreaths Across America and their motto of Remember, Honor, Teach at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org

Join us for the fifth anniversary of Casper’s beloved all-local production of The Nutcracker! This enchanting full-length ballet features more than 100 young dancers from across the community performing to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score. The show brings to life Clara’s magical journey through battlefields, snowy forests, and the Land of Sweets.
Highlights for 2025 include the full Sugarplum Pas de Deux performed by students Avery Mashek and Ayva Wilfong — a challenging piece typically danced by professionals. Their performance reflects years of training, trust, and partnership, and marks a major milestone in their artistic development.
With new characters and choreography added each season, the show continues to evolve as a unique celebration of the dancers’ dedication and artistry.
A festive and heartwarming experience for families of all ages — and a wonderful way to support Casper’s young performing artists.
