The WyoBio Innovation Summit will be held at Casper College on August 12 and 13. It provides opportunities to showcase entrepreneurs, introduce them to resources and engage in meetings with potential investors.

Penelope Shihab, founder of MonoJo Biotech, and one of the keynote speakers at the summit said that it's a joint project of the University of Wyoming, Advance Casper, IMPACT 307, Casper College and many other partners throughout Wyoming.

"We're doing all of this for the state because it's the time for the future. Bioscience is the next revolution in the industry. So, we're preparing the state to take part as an innovation hub for this advanced economy," Shihab said.

The event also enables innovation hubs around the state to support WyoBio entrepreneurs. Morryah McCurdy, the VP of business development at Advanced Casper, explained that Bio entrepreneurs are those working on innovations within the biomedical, bioscience, and biotechnical field.

"These are all emerging industries that we feel are important for us to get behind. They will help diversify Wyoming's economy and ultimately create a broader base for entrepreneurs here, at the cowboy state," McCurdy added.

The summit will have industry experts, world-class speakers, entrepreneurship resources, and networking events.

The WYO BIO Innovation Summit is open to everyone but space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. To register, visit their website.
