On Tuesday evening, March 17, the Wyoming Department of Health reported four new confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the state. This puts the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Wyoming to 15.
Two of the new cases were found in Sheridan County. The adult female and male were in close contact with the original cases in the county. An adult female was confirmed to be the second positive case in Laramie County. This is the second case in that county.
The first case was announced Tuesday afternoon. An adult female in Park County was also confirmed to have the disease, the first reported case in that county.
The department said no more information is available for the Laramie and Park County cases.
Three of the additional cases were identified through testing at the Wyoming Public Health laboratory, and the fourth was identified by a commercial reference lab test.
