The U.S. Air Force recently performed a rare military exercise in Southern Wyoming. They landed multiple aircrafts on remote U.S. highways 287 and 789 near Rawlins.

The City of Rawlins saw record levels of snow this year and residents are wondering whether this will improve their water issues. This was largely due to some serious infrastructure issues, but also drought.

Sixteen of the state's 27 hospitals are classified as critical access ones, meaning they receive more funding from the federal government for their operations caring residents in rural areas. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a strain on the resources and finances of many. And while not all are struggling like some, those who lead these hospitals say it's become more difficult since the heights of the pandemic.

Residents in the City of Rawlins will likely have to pay more for their water in the near future, due to expensive fixes to a water delivery system riddled with issues.

The City of Rawlins is reporting that residents are using more water than what is flowing into the water treatment plant.Rawlins has enforced water restrictions since this spring, which includes things like only watering lawns once a week. The restrictions were implemented after infrastructure issues and drought caused water flows to be dangerously low.

Stepping Stones has eight beds for youth in crisis and is operated by the Volunteers of America Northern Rockies.
