The Wyoming Cowboys football team opens the season at home Saturday against a difficult opponent. Missouri makes its first ever appearance in Laramie and features a fast and prolific offense.

Last year, Missouri wore Wyoming down and Cowboy Linebacker Logan Wilson said they can't let that happen again.

"I think one of the biggest things is just making sure we are ready for their tempo and another big thing for us is we need to get off the field in third down. I think we were, like, 3 for 20 on third down last year and obviously that's not good. You don't win many games like that, so we need to get off the field on third down and give the ball back to our offense," said Wilson

The team will be led by new Quarterback Kelly Bryant who was a former starter at Clemson. Wilson admitted Bryant is a difficult player to defend.

"He's a very athletic quarterback, a good spot thrower, he throws a good ball, and he's very accurate. He also is very good with his feet; we've just got to contain him," added Wilson

Wyoming Head Coach Craig Bohl said the Cowboys offense needs to help the defense by controlling the ball. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
