A new survey conducted by the Wyoming Survey and Analysis Center found that more than half of the state's residents or their immediate family members have seen impacts to work or pay because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One-third report they or their family members have lost their job due to the pandemic. Wyomingites were also overwhelmingly concerned about the impact to the economy (71 percent) and their own personal finances (75 percent).
62 percent approve of President Trump's performance during the pandemic and 82 percent approve of Governor Gordon's handling of the situation. More than half (54.5 percent) of Wyomingites would support a shelter in place order.
The survey was conducted online on March 30. Every county was represented in the 465 respondents. The margin of error was plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
This was the first of several surveys that will be conducted every two weeks to gauge public opinion on the coronavirus.
