University of Wyoming had strict rules in the women's dorms. Records from an early Dean of Women named Luella Galliver give us a glimpse.

From 1932 to 1946, young women had to withdraw from school for drinking and staying out overnight. Records show some "secret marriages." One young woman had a secret marriage and stole a car.

In the 1960s women in the dorms had to sign out to leave. They had a curfew. Rebellious students that did not sign in and out had to withdraw from school.

A points system was used for punishment. Points were given for missing class, missing curfew and once for hanging "obscene posters." Points were erased at the end of each semester. Too many points led to suspension.
