This story has been updated to reflect the news that the FBI has confirmed the body found in Grand Teton National Park is that of Gabby Petito, and the local coroner says the manner of death is believed to be a homicide.

The FBI confirmed the body discovered in Grand Teton National Park is that of 22-year-old Gabby Petito. The Teton County Coroner's Office says the manner of death was homicide. The cause of death is unknown as the office waits for final autopsy results.

Authorities say Petito and her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, 23, were on a lengthy western vacation and she Facetimed her mother from Grand Teton in late August. Her boyfriend returned to Florida without her and has since disappeared.

FBI went into Laundrie's parents' home in Florida Monday and removed boxes and towed away a car. The couple was living with Laundrie's parents before the western road trip.

The FBI announced on Sunday that they discovered a body on the edge of Grand Teton National park where they visited.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen the couple in Grand Teton National Park between August 27 to August 30 to contact them.
