Cheyenne Audubon members invite anyone interested in birds, no matter their birdwatching skills, to join them on a free birding walk at the Wyoming Hereford Ranch Sept. 20 beginning at 9 a.m. until about noon. A variety of resident and migrating birds is expected. The group will leave the Lions Park parking lot between the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens’ Children’s Village and the picnic shelter at 9 a.m. Carpooling should be available. WHR is about a ten-mile drive east on I-80. We expect to hike a mile or two over sometimes rough ground before returning to the vehicles. Bring water and dress for variable weather. Bring binoculars if you have them. If you are interested in going, contact Grant Frost, 307-343-2024, so that he has a list of those expected, and he can let you know if the plans change for any reason like bad weather. For more information about the Cheyenne – High Plains Audubon Society, please visit https://cheyenneaudubon.org/.
Brighten someone’s day, starting with yours! Swing by to grab a free houseplant to share. Give it to a friend you haven’t seen in ages, surprise someone who needs a smile or share a little green joy with a resident at a Senior Living Facility. Plants make great conversation starters. Who knows, you might just make a new friend!
