Cheyenne Audubon field trip to Curt Gowdy State Park
Cheyenne Audubon invites the public on a free birdwatching field trip February 21 to Curt Gowdy State Park. People with all levels of birdwatching experience are welcome.
Participants will leave the Lions Park parking lot between the Children’s Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and the picnic shelter at 9 a.m. to drive 20 miles to Curt Gowdy State Park, do a little hiking to look for forest birds, returning to Cheyenne about 1 p.m., or earlier if you have your own vehicle. Bring lunch and water and dress for variable weather. Bring binoculars and spotting scopes if you have them. A state park pass is required for all vehicles entering the park.
Please register with Grant Frost, 307-343-2024, so that he can contact you if plans change due to weather. Let him know if you need a ride or can provide a ride.
