Friends and family cheered for hundreds of Wyoming high school marching band students last Saturday, October 14th. Every year, the Wyoming High School marching band festival occurs in Casper at the Ford Wyoming Center. Students from all over the state travel to perform their halftime show for friends, family, and each other.

The Shepard Symposium on Social Justice is an annual event held at the University of Wyoming. It hopes to bring attention to inequities still experienced today and find solutions. Dr. Anne Guzzo was asked by the conductor of this year’s music show to compose a piece of music in honor of Matthew Shepard.
