Wyoming Dept. Of Health Official Explains The Pros And Cons Of Medicaid Expansion

After finally passing the Wyoming House of Representatives this year, a legislative committee has set the stage for Medicaid Expansion to be debated during an upcoming special session of the legislature. Stefan Johansson is the Deputy Director of the Wyoming Department of Health. He explains to Wyoming Public Radio's Bob Beck why the issue has momentum this year.

Bob Beck moved to Wyoming from Syracuse, New York, where he worked at WAER Syracuse Public Media as a news anchor, editor, and producer from 2023-2026. While at WAER, Beck was awarded the Syracuse Press Club-Best Public Affairs Program for 2025. Bob Beck also taught radio news for the Newhouse School at Syracuse University in New York.
