Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian are rumored to have bought a ranch outside of Cody.
According to TMZ , the rapper has purchased Monster Lake Ranch just south of Cody. It has not been confirmed. This news comes after Vogue Arabia printed an interview with Kim Kardashian saying she sees her family living on a ranch in Wyoming in the next ten years.
Since the report has come out there have been hundreds of reactions on Facebook and around the community.
Donny Anderson has lived in Cody his entire life. He said Cody should welcome anyone who wants to come, but the celebrity family shouldn't try to change the community
"I'm just a little staunch about them wanting to change us into what they left and we get that a lot around here. Several people have come and tried to change us," said Anderson.
The general sentiment is the Wests can come, but they shouldn't try to change the community. Facebook comments range from "get out" to "give them a chance" to "They are conservatives. Welcome." The Wests have spent some time in the state but mostly in the Jackson Hole area where Kanye recorded his album ye.
Rumors have also been swirling around that the family has enrolled their daughter, North West, at Sunset Elementary School.
