In the summer of 1945, cowboys were rounding up their cattle in the Bighorn Mountains. They noticed something shining on top of a ridge. They found the wreckage of a B-17 Bomber. Join Sylvia Bruner, Executive Director of the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo, as she tells the story informed by a decade of research of the ten men on board the B-17 Bomber that had taken off two years earlier and never returned. Riot Act Inc. is thrilled to announce Scene Study Class. Class will begin Tuesday, May 14 at 6pm in Riot Act’s Studio at the Center for the Arts. Register on Riot Act’s website https://riotactinc.org/classes/.
This class offers Scene Study for actors to dive into their craft. Students will work together on scenes chosen by the instructor. Through this, you'll identify your strengths and weaknesses as a performer, and leave this class with a deeper insight into your process.
Riot Act, Inc. developed a curriculum for community members to learn more about all aspects of theatre. This three week workshop will focus on Scene Study taught by BJ Hanford. Classes will run Tues. nights from 6-8pm May 14, 21, and 28.
BJ Hanford spent 22 years of professional dancing, singing, and acting in NYC followed by 10 years of directing, choreographing, and teaching at Dancers’ Workshop. After a 15-year hiatus from theatre life as a short order cook and chef at guest ranches and Four Seasons, she returned to theatre with a proud commitment to Riot Act, Inc.
This three week workshop is offered at a low price of just $150 for the entire three weeks. We must have a minimum of 5 students to run this workshop, so get your friends to sign up with you! No prior experience required. (Teens and adults only please.)

Bring on spring with Dr. Julie Rieder of Science Kids as we take a stroll through pastures and along Big Goose Creek watching and listening for birds as they migrate north to their summer nesting grounds. Learn some beginning birding skills, and build your confidence to tell warblers from finches from chickadees. Spring time is a great time to watch birds, with few leaves on the trees, and birds all dressed up in their stunning breeding plumage. Dress for weather, bring binoculars if you have then. We will have some, too.

Mason Lee of the University of Wyoming Biodiversity Institute will help us learn about these essential, yet often misunderstood, animals in our night skies. As the sun sets over South Park, these flying mammals will take to the sky in search of insects. We’ll use special equipment that translates bat calls into noises and images we can hear and see as the bats forage above our heads in search of a good meal. Join us as we stay up a little late to experience a world we can only visit with our friends from the Biodiversity Institute on this special bat walk in the park. Please note: If you sign-up for this program, we will also register through the UW Biodiversity Institute Bat Walk program, too.
Free fun for all ages 2 to 102! Limited to 30 attendees. RSVP required. Please RSVP at the link.
