Cochon De Lait (Cajun Pig Roast)

Cochon De Lait (Cajun Pig Roast)

Come join us for A Cochon De Lait "Cajun Pig Roast" on August 28, 2021 at the Lincoln Community Center! (365 W. Grand Ave) There will be delicious food, enjoyable games, lively music, and exciting door prizes! This event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC, so come join us and bring your friends and family! What do we do for a Cochon De Lait? We take a whole pig, score the skin, season it with authentic cajun seasonings, as well as, cut pockets into the meat and stuff it with vegetables like onion and bell pepper. The pig will then hang in a cooler for a week until the day of the event. On August 28th, we will take the pig out of the cooler and transfer into a cooker, where it will cook anywhere from 10-12 hours until it reaches our targeted temperature. This makes the pig juicy, tender, and tasty! There will also be delicious side dishes and desserts including cakes, pies, and made-to-order funnel cakes!
