Cheyenne Audubon free field trip viewing sage-grouse lek - Roger Canyon
Cheyenne Audubon invites the public, birders of every level and nonbirders, for a free field trip to view an active sage grouse lek or dancing ground about 40 miles northwest of Cheyenne April 18, 6:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The group will leave from Wyoming Game and Fish Department headquarters, east side of the building, 5400 Bishop Boulevard, Cheyenne, at 6:30 a.m. Check on availability of carpooling when registering by calling Grant Frost, 307-343-2024. Registrants will get updates if there are any changes in plans.
Be sure to bring water, some snacks and dress for changing weather conditions.
