BumbleBrew Festival! - Laramie

BumbleBrew Festival! - Laramie

LARAMIE, WY — April 26, 2025: A new community festival is launching in Laramie this spring that combines live music, fermentation, gardening, hands-on art activities, and local food and drink. The event, BumbleBrew Fest, will take place from 2 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Laramie Plains Civic Center South Gym.

Hosted by nonprofit Science Loves Art (SLA), and 4th Street Studios, BumbleBrew Fest combines elements of SLA’s previous Pollinator and Fermentation Festivals into a single event just in time for Earth Day. Follow SLA’s social media Instagram, Facebook and YouTube for updates about activities, schedule and menus designed for all ages in mind.

Highlights include:

Live performances all day by regional bands including WY’Rish, Box of Rocks, Alba Née, Molasses Flood and Friends, and NOISEfolk, with sound provided by Adam Bender.

A selection of locally crafted brews from Altitude, Laramie Brew Club, Accomplice Brewing, Black Tooth and others.

Hands-on art projects in eco-art and DIY garden projects such as upcycled suncatchers, create your own mini terrarium, art garden stakes, paint a pot-pick a succulent, eco-dyeing, and the list is growing.. The 10+ activities are offered for free or a small materials donation.

Learn from experts about gardens, worm composting, plant propagation from Feeding Laramie Valley, 4th Street Studios Greenhouse, UW Conservatory and other community groups.

Fresh food and drinks from local chefs, including garden-inspired mocktails, probiotic water kefir, herbal teas, and seasonal dishes - think lavender-mint mocktails, rose geranium tea, and great snacks.

Enjoy relaxing in the Art-Beer Garden inspired by a German beer garden under lights on a summer evening and SLOW living. Plenty of tables available for space to create your art while sipping brews, teas and listening to live music. Bring a folding chair and chill with us. April is the perfect time to be transformed into a Wyoming summer day.

“It’s about slowing down, getting inspired for summer, and enjoying a creative experience with friends,” said René Williams, SLA founder and artist. “We’re bringing together artists, scientists, makers, musicians, and the community for a full day of summer in April.”

Tickets are available online at 4thStreetStudios.com and Eventbrite, and hurry before they sell out. Whether you're a beer connoisseur, a foodie, a gardener, a DIYer, artist or just want to enjoy 5 local bands, admission is donation-based with all proceeds going towards SLA.

Science Loves Art (SLA) is a Wyoming 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to bring art, science and community together through discovery, creation and experience. Art and science have been separated into different categories while SLA will remind us that science and art go hand in hand! Artist and founder, René Williams was awarded the artist outreach for the Wyoming EPSCoR Microbial Ecology $20 million dollar grant in 2017. René made use of the funding to start this nonprofit SLA and begin programming with SLA Kits, festivals, and exhibitions for the public to enjoy. SLA has a diverse board, broad volunteer base and committed sponsors to support their mission.

BumbleBrew Fest is supported by Visit Laramie, Wyoming Arts Council, City of Laramie, Albany County, Wyoming Community Foundation and 4th Street Studios. See a full list of sponsors on our website.

Become a sponsor and be a part of SLA throughout the summer as the SLA Summer Film Series rolls out based on the BumbleBrew Fest promoting projects, artists, musicians and Wyoming culture. Learn about Sponsorships on our website ScienceLovesArt.org
