Author Talk: Colleen Denney
Colleen Denney, author and University of Wyoming professor of art history and gender and women’s studies in the School of Culture, Gender and Social Justice, will speak Thursday, Dec. 2, at UW. Her talk, which is free and open to the public, will be at 4 p.m. in Room 506 of Coe Library. The event also will be live-streamed on Zoom. Denney has published comprehensively on portraits of women in Victorian and contemporary culture, including a book on Diana, Princess of Wales and one on scandalous women in the Victorian period. Her new book from McFarland Press, “The Suffrage Photography of Lena Connell: Creating a Cult of Great Women Leaders in Britain, 1908-1914”, examines the career of an Edwardian suffragist and photographer.
