Art Repatriation & The Legal Consequences

Art Repatriation & The Legal Consequences

John Burman Student Government is excited to announce the first talk in our annual Spring Panel Series!

Next Thursday, March 30, please join Nicole Crawford, Darrell Jackson, and Alyson White Eagle-SoundingSides for an open discussion about their work in art and artifact repatriation at the University of Wyoming Art Museum (UWAM), with information about specific objects that they are currently trying to deaccession from the UWAM, as well as information on other projects that are ongoing with Stealing Culture.

Held at the University of Wyoming College of Law (Room 178), this event is perfect for anyone interested in the process of the repatriation and deaccessioning of objects housed in museums, and the legal issues that come along with this topic. Refreshments will be served.

To properly plan for refreshments, please RSVP your spot by visiting: https://forms.office.com/r/fHPa2Bi6kA
