The Wyoming Business Council says some of the incentives the state can offer to businesses are fine, while others could be improved.
Business Council CEO Josh Dorrell told the legislature's Joint Minerals and Economic Development Committee Friday that access to things like water, broadband, shovel-ready sites, and transportation are all challenges that the state will need to overcome in order to enhance recruitment.
He said other challenges are ongoing issues.
"Workforce availability and housing are two components that you probably hear about a lot. But those are big challenges," said Dorrell. "And, and it's something that I know is being addressed in not just our agency but also other agencies as well," he added.
Dorrell said the Business Council tries to target businesses that are good fits for particular areas of the state. He noted they are currently studying ways to improve their recruiting efforts.
