Jackson is renowned for its dramatic landscapes and outdoor recreation, but arts organizations would like Jackson to be just as well known for its world-class cultural offerings. For the first time, Dancers’ Workshop and the Grand Teton Music Festival are teaming up to cross-promote each other’s events.
“For our two organizations it just made good sense to work together and to do our part to hopefully raise the profile of the community through what we’re already doing,” explained GTMF executive director Andrew Todd.
The organizations have also coordinated their event schedules.
“This is a big weekend for both organizations,” said Babs Case, the artistic director at Dancers’ Workshop. “So our programming is something that we want everyone to know about—that they have the option to do both.”
GTMF has its season finale this weekend, and Dancers’ Workshop is featuring Stars of American Ballet with members of New York City Ballet. Todd says this week’s coordination is just a first step. He says the organizations hope to create a joint production with musicians and dancers in the future.
