The Wheatland VFW hosted their third welcome home party for Vietnam veterans recently. According to the Platte County Record Times, the event is meant to honor the veterans who often came back home without any welcome.

A former Sheridan resident has launched the nation's first master's degree program for cardiac function and interventional technology. The Sheridan Press reports Ken Turley saw a need for this program because the current certificate-based programs graduate under half of the annual workforce need. It will launch at Harding University in Arkansas this fall.

The University of Wyoming's IMPACT 307 and Western Wyoming Community College have partnered to launch IMPACT Sweetwater. The Rock Springs Rocket Miner writes the first Sweetwater County Innovation Launchpad will be taking applications from entrepreneurs until May 20. IMPACT Sweetwater will provide mentorship to the finalists, helping them prepare for a Pitch Day Competition in September. The winning finalists will receive seed funding and further guidance to help start their businesses.

In the spring of 2020, she virtually graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. in biology with minors in journalism and business.
