Wyoming Public Radio Timeline (1966-2016)

Where the magic happened... The first broadcast day of KUWR occurred on campus of the University of Wyoming in the 3rd floor of the Student Union on September 14, 1966.

Before Wyoming Public Radio was formed, its predecessor UW Radio shared entertainment on Wyoming airwaves.

In 1965 Dave Mullen, the UW student representative, signed Wyoming Public Radio's first license. Standing next to the 1965 photo of the signers is Dave Mullen still listening to Wyoming Public Radio in 2012. The license was issued in 1966.
