Yellowstone Celebrates National Park Week

National Park Service

All across the nation, national parks will be celebrated next week with special events and programs. To kick off National Park Week, park entrance fees will be waived Saturday.

This includes Yellowstone National Park. Linda Veress, a spokesperson for the park, said Saturday will also be a special day for kids to come to the park to earn a junior ranger badge by completing certain activities around the park.

"Young stewards of the park can pick up junior ranger booklets at visitor centers," said Veress. "These booklets contain fun activities that will help them learn about the park and why it's special.

Plus, Veress said select roads will be opening this Friday. National Park Week runs through April 28.
