The Wyoming Department of Health is looking for input on how it will approach the next four-year state plan on aging. The state's plan on aging looks at the needs of older adults and care partners.
Mark Kelly, a health program specialist in the department's aging division, said the plan also helps to determine where funding should go over the next four years.
"We're looking for avenues for expansion and how we can increase usable services and decrease social isolation," he said.
He said that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought forth more concerns about older adults in isolation.
"I think the shift to online telehealth and online activities and so on, I think that's here to stay. I think it will start to expand," he said. "Once the pandemic is over, I think the need for more technology use with older adults and the training aspect, I think that will be a focus for the future."
Responses to the survey need to be collected by the end of February. Kelly said after collecting feedback, the department will put together the plan and hopefully publish in the fall.
