Since then, it's been a constant companion when I go out. I love taking walks along the N Platte River to see what wildlife I can find. I also take many photos of my dog.

Bio: Erika was born and raised in Sheridan and attended Casper College and UW. She is currently living in Moran and the Supervisor of the Teton County Weed & Pest District, where she works to keep Wyoming wild and beautiful, protecting our state from invasive species. When not working, you can find her traveling around watching her kids participate in various sports, trail running, and enjoying everything she can outdoors.

Bio: My name is Danielle Laumann and I live in Sheridan Wy. I work full time as an office manager for a pediatric practice but love doing photography as a hobby. I spend most weekends out and about in and near Sheridan County photographing wildlife. I came across 3 different sets of owlets this spring and these two were often the most photogenic. They seemed to be just as curious about me as I was about them. I made numerous trips out to visit them as to document their growing up before the leaves filled out in the trees and would become more difficult to view. They definitely grow up fast and out grow their nest quickly and eventually move on to exploring the this new big world!

Bio: I find that through photography, I have sharpened my appreciation of the natural world. I notice small wonders and pause with them, even if not taking a photograph. On this particular afternoon in the Wind River Range, I’d spent a few hours in my tent during a thunderstorm. When the storm passed, and I ventured back outside I was stunned by the grandeur of the view.

Bio: I have been taking photographs since I was a kid, now mostly of wildlife and landscapes. I love to hike and explore; I love our access to public lands and wildlife that we are fortunate to have to Wyoming. This particular photo is a bison calf named Jolene, she is on a ranch and was abandoned by her mom, so I was fortunate enough to get to help raise her.

Bio: I fell in love with GTNP and YNP on my first trip in 2007. My husband and I have been back many times and have been able to see some of Wyoming's other natural wonders. We are full-time residents of Teton Valley Idaho and cannot believe how fortunate we are to live in such a beautiful place. We love to travel in our Airstream and have many more places on our bucket list.

Bio: Phil Hilson is a retired professional violinist and dedicated orchestra teacher, having spent decades performing and teaching in the Chicago and Houston areas. His passion for music shaped his career, allowing him to inspire countless students while refining his own artistry.

Now based in Cody, Wyoming, Phil has turned his creative focus to photography, capturing the beauty of the natural world. His work has earned recognition, with his photograph “Elegance in Motion” winning 1st place in the wildlife category of Wyoming Wildlife magazine and his astrophoto “North America Nebula” taking 2nd prize in the Cody Art League professional photography competition. Through his lens, he showcases Wyoming’s people, rugged landscapes, diverse wildlife, and breathtaking night skies.

Bio: Dana Gage is a self-taught photographer originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Having lived in the Cheyenne Area for nearly 30 years, Dana has found his way into the very fabric of this community photographing in downtown alleyways, city parks, and almost all other outlying areas of the city. Where Dana finds his greatest solace, however, is exploring and photographing in the nearby mountains with his camera and his faithful dog.

Bio: I am an assistant professor at the University of Wyoming where I currently fulfill the Bobby Model Photojournalism Professorship. I live in Fort Collins and enjoy documenting my commute between Colorado and the Equality State; this photo was taken along Highway 287 while I was driving to Laramie. I enjoy visual stories of all kinds and use my camera on a daily basis to document my surroundings. I am the proud father of two children, who are often the subjects of my storytelling.

Bio: I am a husband to an amazing wife, father of two amazing kids, a UW Alum, a Hydrogeologist and an entrepreneur living in Laramie. My photography hobby is fueled by my love of the outdoors, sharing my work with others through the publications we create, and capturing our family and children's lives. My other passions include weightlifting and spending my free time with my family. I appreciate the honor of being included in this exhibit!

Bio: My name is Anna Kirkpatrick and I live in Driggs, Idaho with my husband and two dogs. We retired here 7 years ago and are very involved with the Senior Center as well as several other nonprofits. Being on the border with Wyoming gives us the best of both states, and pretty much all of my pictures are taken while we are either hiking, biking or kayaking in the great outdoors.

(This particular one with the 3 Moose, there was actually a fourth out of the frame, was taken near the vault toilet by the trailhead in the Snowy Range. Go figure that we didn’t see any hiking, but we saw 4 right by the parking lot!)
