News InternJesse grew up in the foothills of California's Sierra Nevada's, where he spent most of his time exploring the mountains and rivers surrounding his town. He is studying geohydrology and environmental geology with a minor in journalism at the University of Wyoming. When not reporting or at school you might catch him bouldering at the UW climbing gym or backcountry skiing in the Snowy Range.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department finished the bulk of a massive fish conservation project in the Big Sandy water basin. They removed harmful invasive fish that were eating and hybridizing with native species.

The recently released study tracks Wyoming’s religious and political trends. It finds that Wyoming largely reflects national trends.

The University of Wyoming held a dialogue for faculty and students to ask questions of and give feedback to a panel of administrators about the current Legislative session. It’s part of UW’s initiative to cultivate discussion from different viewpoints.

The talks include lawyer Nadine Strossen discussing free speech, Martín Carcasson on solving “wicked” problems with deliberation and physicist Paul Steinhardt on the debate around his theory for the formation of the universe.

The new center aims to fill some of the same needs the Multicultural Affairs Office did, without a specific focus on diversity, equity and inclusion. It was created in response to the Wyoming Legislature pulling funding for DEI programs at UW.
