For International Women's Day, Women Brewers Release The Equality IPA

Snake River Brewing Co.

On March 8, women brewers from the Snake River Brewing Company and the Roadhouse Brewing Company have collaborated to brew the Equality IPA. This is the fourth year the Jackson based breweries have come together on International Women's Day.

The idea came from the Pink Boot Society, a national group that tries to bring women in the beer industry together.

"Every year for the past few years, they've put together a specific hop blend and they encourage other breweries and other women at breweries to get together and brew on the same day, which is March 8, National Women's Day," said Ariel Koerber, the marketing director at the Snake River Brewing Company.

Koerber said this year is particularly special in Wyoming since it is the 150th anniversary of Wyoming women's suffrage.

"We really wanted to commemorate those brave and bold women of Wyoming that we all know and love every day that the state of Wyoming was made possible by," she said.

The Equality IPA is a Belgian style IPA with hints of herbal and citrus flavors. It will be released on April 19.
