State Parks Report Record Breaking Numbers For Third Straight Year

Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites & Trails

For the third straight year, the Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails division reported record-breaking numbers. Visitors to recreation sites increased 8 percent, and revenue increased 10 percent.

State Parks Administrator Domenic Bravo sys because of customer feedback, the agency was able to implement a lot of the amenities people had been asking for, like RV hook-ups, yurts and camping cabins.

Bravo says the agency has been making an effort to keep on top of current recreational trends. "Both our motorized and non-motorized trails are pretty much world renowned," Bravo says.

Wyoming's natural beauty, history and culture help make its parks one one of the top destinations in the country. "All those coming together, and the culmination of everything really make it a place that folks from around the world want to come and visit," Bravo says.

He says last year's windfall will fund construction and maintenance, as well as some new amenities and attractions.
