Wyoming Aviation Heritage League (WAHL) We are planning our first official event, the Wyoming Aviation Festival, August 14-18, 2024, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The goal of this festival is to raise awareness of Wyoming’s rich aviation history with a focus on the 1960 Airport Terminal Building and promote our nonprofit’s visibility within Wyoming and the aviation community. We are excited about the opportunity to inform the public about our unique mission as well as our initial fundraising focus, which is the refurbishment of the 1960 Terminal. We are partnering with the Cheyenne Regional Airport, the Arts & Aviation Center Steering Committee, and the Commemorative Air Force (“CAF”) to bring the festival to life. The CAF will bring in several historic World War II aircraft for a near weeklong stay and there will be other activities throughout the week that focus on aviation history preservation and education.
