SCLT Discovery Session: Women’s Backcountry Skills & Trail Running - Sheridan
Expand Your Playground & Your Comfort Zone!
Join Jody Sanborn for a two-part women’s backcountry skills and trail running Discovery Session designed to help participants feel more prepared, informed, and confident exploring the backcountry.
The series focuses on practical, real-world skills that support safer, more confident trail running in the backcountry and offers value for both newer and seasoned runners.
A major focus of the first session is “What’s in your pack?”, a hands-on discussion about preparation, essential gear, and decision-making for backcountry trail running, with the second session building on this foundation through movement on trail and application of skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Who can attend? All inclusive, all paces welcome: runners, joggers, hikers. All ability levels are welcome, regardless of previous experience. The objective is to empower anyone identifying as a woman with the tools and confidence to expand their trail running into the backcountry.
Classroom Session – Wednesday, May 6, 6-8 pm @ SCLT Community Rooms (located at 14 Lane Lane)
Outdoor Session – Saturday, May 16, 9-11 am @ Red Grade Trails Base Trailhead
