National Bike to Work Day - Laramie!
National Bike Month is celebrated across the country each May as a time to highlight the many benefits of bicycling and encourage more folks to give biking a try. The City of Laramie proudly joins in this national celebration with local flair — embracing the spring winds, warming sunshine, and renewed energy of May as the perfect backdrop to roll into Bike Month 2026.
National Bike to Work Day on May 15th will be celebrated with a community breakfast at First Street Plaza from 7–9 AM, sponsored by Fast Haus Ski & Bike, Basecamp, and others TBD, bringing together riders of all experience levels to enjoy snacks, fresh air, and the fun of a morning commute on two wheels.
Fast House Ski & Bike keeps the excitement going with free bike shuttles offered on May 26th and May 27th. Shuttles will be offered at 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM, and 3:00 PM. If you've been thinking of taking a half day off work, this is the time. Check out Pilot Hill downhill style by getting dropped off at the summit after meeting at Fast Haus Ski & Bike and enjoy the downhill ride back to the shop.
Finally, close out the month in style with a FREE showing of the Ritual Mountain Bike Film Tour on May 30th at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at the Gryphon Theatre, presented by Fast Haus Ski & Bike and Basecamp.
Laramie is committed to creating a bike-friendly city that supports safe cycling for all ages and skill levels, and our expanding network of bike lanes, trails, and community events reflects our belief that a city built for biking is a city built for connection, health, and sustainability. The City of Laramie invites all residents to pump up their tires, strap on their helmets, and join us in celebrating the power, freedom, and fun of bicycling.
