The 16th annual Memory of the 8 Run/Walk is a memorial event in remembrance of the 8 UW Cross Country runners who lost their lives in an accident caused by a drunk driver on September 16, 2001. It is held in Gillette, WY on the anniversary of the accident and includes a Kids Fun Run, 5K Run/Walk, and an 8-Mile Run.
Online registration is available at: runsignup.com or register the day of at 4:00 pm.
The Kids Run is at 5:15, the 5K and 8-Mile Run begin at 5:30, and walkers can begin any time. There is a BBQ and Social to follow. Shirts and hats are available for purchase. This is a free event. Donations are welcome.
