Cheyenne Audubon invites the public on a free field trip Jan. 17 to Raptor Alley to look for hawks and other birds of prey. People with all levels of birdwatching experience are welcome.
Participants will leave the Lions Park parking lot between the Children’s Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens and the picnic shelter at 9 a.m. to drive 38 miles to Soaring V Fuels in Nunn, Colorado. From there the group will caravan along country roads, returning to Cheyenne about 4 p.m., or earlier if you have your own vehicle. Bring lunch and water and dress for variable weather. Bring binoculars and spotting scopes if you have them.
