Cheyenne Audubon Big Day Bird Count to be held May 17
Cheyenne Audubon members invite birdwatchers of every level to participate in the Cheyenne Big Day Bird Count May 17. Join members at 8 a.m. at Lions Park in the parking lot between the Children’s Village and the picnic shelter/restrooms. Or if joining the group later, call Mark, 307-287-4953, for a location update.
The group will walk around Lions Park and then head for the Wyoming Hereford Ranch before going to the High Plains Arboretum about lunchtime, finishing about 3 p.m. Bring water, lunch and appropriate clothing. Participants may leave at any time if providing their own transportation. Some carpooling may be available.
Any bird observations made in Laramie County during the 24 hours of May 17 can be reported through the eBird app or by contacting count compiler Grant Frost, 307-343-2024 (call or text).
