Home Décor Company Coral And Tusk Moving To Wyoming

coralandtusk.com

A Brooklyn-based design company is moving its inventory and order fulfillment hub to Pinedale. Artist Stephanie Housley creates embroidered home décor under the brand name Coral and Tusk, which is sold around the world.

About a year and a half ago, she and her husband decided to move from Brooklyn to the western part of Wyoming. Housley said the landscapes she has visited in the state inspired many of her designs.

“Driving through, we found Bondurant. “Giggled, like this was one of the most beautiful places in the world we’d ever seen,” Housley said. “It’s just kind of raw, like unbridled natural beauty.”

Since then, Housley decided it would be better for business if she were closer to the inventory, which is currently housed in Missouri.  She has rented a building in Pinedale that will serve as the distribution point for all of her products and has hired two full-time employees. She plans to hire at least two more seasonal employees.

By the summer of 2019, Housley hopes to do more with the location.

“In Pinedale, what I’d like to do is hire seamstresses to do custom cut and sew pieces for people, you know so, a duvet cover, or a special pillow size for a project that somebody might have, or an old thing that they’re trying to recover, and stuff like that,” she said.

She aims to be shipping from Pinedale by March 15 of this year. The company’s office in Brooklyn will stay put.
