A University of Wyoming survey shows that Wyomingites favor the president and two other republican candidates for federal office ahead of Tuesday's election.
The random survey of 614 Wyoming residents shows that 59 percent support Donald Trump for president. That's a percent higher than 2016. In Wyoming's U.S. Senate race, those surveyed say they support Republican Cynthia Lummis over Democrat Merav Ben-David by a 56 to 26 percent margin.
In the U.S. House race, 58 percent are backing the incumbent Liz Cheney while 28 percent support Democrat Lynnette Greybull. U.W. Political Scientist Jim King said, "the results aren't surprising." King notes that Lummis is a former Congresswoman and registered republicans hold a large advantage in the state.
The phone survey was conducted by the Wyoming survey and analysis center from October 8 until October 28.
