New Health App Comes To Wyoming

Wyoming Department of Health

The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) recently released a new app to help Wyomingites track their health and wellness. The app, My 307 Wellness, allows users to track information relating to their physical and mental health along with important milestones. It also provides information about local health and wellness resources.

"The idea for my 307 Wellness came from wanting to be able to provide Wyoming residents with a reliable resource for pregnancy related information several years ago, and over the time period from then until now really looking at how a health information app could be of interest to all Wyoming people," said Angie Van Houten, WDH's Community Health Section Chief.

The app was designed to be used by both individuals and families. Parents have the option to track the health of their children.

"A parent can set up multiple members of their family in the app and then information will show up on the opening page. It gives recommended content for each of those members of the family, depending on their age," said Van Houten.

There's also a special feature for pregnant women that tracks weight gain and baby kicks. According to the CDC, Wyoming has the fifth highest percentage of adults without a usual place of health care in the country.

"We really do want this app to be a resource for Wyoming residents and something that they can trust and get information from," Van Houten said.

She said the app provides reliable information for people in all different stages of life. My 307 Wellness is available for download in Google Play and the Apple App Store.
