Lummis Wins GOP Senate Primary

Cynthia Lummis and Merav Ben-David

Former Wyoming Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis is one step closer to returning to Washington. Lummis won the Republican Senate primary and will face Democrat Merav Ben-David in the General Election.

Lummis said her campaign has focused on Wyoming people, and she's hearing that they are fully on board with the America First agenda.

One issue that's likely to come up in the election is health care. While Ben-David likes Medicare for All, Lummis wants to focus on a range of issues like improving price transparency.

"Whether it's procedures at hospitals or other matters that sometimes are not very clear in terms of pricing. We want to be able to promote and support legislation that requires transparency in health care pricing so consumers have choices," said Lummis.

She added that getting the economy back on track will be another focus.
